Vietnam may exempt visa for US citizens

Vietnam may exempt visa for US citizens
A good news for US passport holders as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is expected to approve the proposal to issue a one-year visa for US visitors and businessman. The purpose is to encourage more leisure and business travel and this is due to the complaint from AmCharm Vietnam (American Chamber of Commerce) that the current regulations for visa to Vietnam for American passport holders is not convenient. The US market is one of the top five sources tourism with 446,322 US travelers visiting Vietnam, January to November, this year, an increase of 9.7% during the same period last year.
Starting 1 July, citizens from the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain and Italy weregranted visa exemptions to visit Vietnam for up to 15 days. That particular waiver applies for one year. This good news is still being considered but quickvietnamvisa.net hopes that, there will be more and more tourists from US to come to Vietnam in the near future as Vietnam is one of the most beautiful countries in Southeast Asia with nice beaches, rich culture & tradition as well as many World Heritage Sites and friendly people.
