Some facts for tours in Siem Reap to Tonle Sap lake

*** Tonle Sap lake is located in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Some 15km from city center.
*** LOW WATER SEASON is from March to July (March is hot and during this season, you can not travel by boat some days)
*** HIGH WATER SEASON is from August to February
*** Five provinces circled the area of Tonle Sap Lake
*** More than three million of population inhabited around the bank of the Lake
*** About 90% of them earn a living by catching fish and making agricultures.
*** The Lake is the largest fresh water in South East Asia.
*** In high water season, it expands the surface to some 10,000 square meters and some 14 meters in depth.
*** In low water season, water comes out to Mekong river and its size is only 3,000 square meters and some 2 meters in depth.
*** Over 300 species of fresh water fishes, as well as snakes, crocodiles, tortoises, turtles and otters.
*** More than 100 varieties water birds including storks, pelicans, etc...
